FINISHED

What?? No posts in three years? What's up with that?!?

The visual here tells the story of how much work it has been to finish The Jekyll Island Chronicles. The finished trilogy tells the tale of extent of the number of scenes, pages, and panels it took to make not just one book but three.

When you're spending just about every free minute completing the 192-page last chapter of your trilogy, you have to focus. So that's what we've been doing versus posting on the blog. Remember, two of the three of us still have day jobs!

Here's at least part of what we have done since we last posted:

  • Secured a brand new, first-class, Marvel/DC veteran illustrator named Prentis Rollins to finish our last book of the series
  • Created one last Kickstarter campaign that was fully-funded in order to make Book 3 possible
  • Wrote the entire 192-page Book 3 chapter
  • Laid out every single page and every single panel for the book
  • Gave constant feedback to Prentis and our fantastic colorist, SJ Miller
  • Created all the Kickstarter merchandise for our fans, including shirts, posters, coaster, and packaging
  • Finished the teaching materials for Book 2 and beginning to work on the teaching materials for Book 3
  • Created multiple book displays for our local Barnes and Noble stores
  • Welcomed 45 middle school students who were studying our books in class to Jekyll Island for a talk and tour about the history and importance of the JIC story
  • Tried to find the energy to constantly post on Facebook and Instagram about our journey (please follow us for more there)!
  • Set up a way for fans to get signed copies of all three books via the online website: www.jicautographed.com
  • And much, much more.

And so now we have a TRILOGY. A warning: an endeavor like this is NOT for the faint of heart. But we thank you for following along with us!

Currently, we are in the process of continuing to promote Book 3 and that also means contemplating and creating other venues for the story to be told. Like television, film and games.

Cross your fingers with us. Let's see what happens next!

We will post as BIG things happen.

For the day-to-day, find us on social media. We put all kinds of fun stuff there.
